Resources and sample files. A very helpful Facebook group has a bunch of files that are good sample prints. If your manual says you can print a cat.gcode you've got an old manual. Note: Don't try and just google cat.gcode as I did. The model I found rammed the print head right into the bottom of the printer. The correct model works great

BEST ANSWER: It comes with a simplified version of Cura that will translate the Atlanta file into gcode. It is very simple to use yet gives you full control of each aspect of the print if you switch to advanced mode. None of the 3D printers actually print an Atlanta file as any 3D object needs converted to information the motors on the printer can understand like 3D coordinates.

Thanks for stopping by, here you have our very first completed 3d print of the Cat.Gcode file. We started it before, made it maybe

How To Covert An STL File To A GCODE File For 3D Printing, if you have a printer like me you need a gcode file to print, I show you how to use the most popular .stl file and turn it into a .GCODE In the case of 3D printers, the G-Code is the actual file that the 3D printer reads. The G-Code file contains the instructions for the 3D printer to build the object layer by layer (starting point, the direction and the speed of the nozzle, etc.). It is possible to generate G-Code files from STL files or other formats using a slicer software. However one major issue is that you might be facing is that you need to add a line to the starting G code telling the machine how and where to detect the print bed, on the automatic level. AFTER you download the updated version of Cura go to the starting code and add the line: G29 C-0.8 Z0.3 that should get you started. We prepared the file at 50 microns layer height to show you what your printer is capable of . However, if you have deleted it, or if you want to slice it with different settings, download it from PrusaPrinters.org. Download: PrusaPrinters.org . Original Prusa SL1. Located in the SL1 folder, these files are used to test the Original Prusa SL1. Fast G-code generation is fast. Don't wait hours for slicing that detailed model. Slic3r is about 100x faster than Skeinforge. It also uses multithreading for parallel computation. Lots of input/output formats. Slic3r reads STL, AMF and OBJ files while it can output G-code and SVG files. Starting & Ending G-code Scripts You can see where to put these scripts within Cura on the Starting & Ending G-code Scripts Location page. Here are some examples of the many different options available for the G29 Automatic Bed Leveling command . BEST ANSWER: That's a hard question to answer for sure, as it's going to depend on your .gcode file. Once both the bed and nozzle are at the temp specified in the file, if the .gcode is working as intended, it should proceed to the purge wipe (if your slicer puts this in the gcode) and then move to start printing.

Nov 15, 2016 deleted the sample gcode files that came with the Monoprice Maker Select, I can download them as I was hoping to use the "import settings from gcode"
